The surgery went well and everything seems to be going the way it should. Becca is resting between Physical Therapy sessions, and taking lots of pills. She feels kinda sick at the moment, but it’s been a stressful few days, and there is lots of medicine doing all kinds of things to her.

She is moving around pretty well now in the crutches. It’s a lot better this year than last year because she isn’t suffering through those spinal headaches. Really it’s amazing how much she can move around after having such a major surgery.

We are kinda wiped out from a cold that we picked up right before surgery. Sleep would be nice. I should get some of that.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern, things have really come together for us here. Over the past couple of months we have gone through a lot of emotional ups and downs, wondering if this surgery was going to happen. Now it’s happened and we are just now starting to look forward to what we’re going to do after Becca has recovered. We leave here on Saturday.

We had a bit of a long night, lots of waking up to take medicine and

adjust machines. Continuing to recover and doing more PT.

We had a little sleep last night. In our second PT appointment right

now. Hopefully we can have some time to catch our breath this evening.

All is well

Just waiting here. She will be coming out of surgery pretty soon, they say.

Just rolled her in to start.

We just talked to the doctors, they are running behind today. But, they assured us that she will get in today.

We are here in Vail again. Excited to be getting this done. We got a great couple days with family over thanksgiving, but now it’s time to get Becca walking again.

Yesterday, we were in the pre-op room ready for surgery, Becca was hooked up the an IV and Oxygen for hours, and then they told us they ran out of time to get her in for surgery. The surgeon had to catch a flight and things were going long. Monday is the next available time slot. So we will be back in Vail for surgery again on Monday. We will post time and details after we hear from them.

Not sure how much longer it will take. Doing fine.

It’s gonna start soon. Just hanging out in the waiting room playing Angry Birds.

Oh, also Becca is going in for hip surgery at 12:30. She only had juice for breakfast. More updates coming during the day.
